Matty’s Minute - 2020… We Made It

We Made It!

While we are obviously still dealing with the same issues of 2020...it does feel good to turn the page and vitally important to celebrate the positivity that did come out of last year.

For me, it solidified the importance of living in the mountains, and spending quality time with my young family. For our children, being only 5 and 3 years old, they did know something was different, but also perhaps they are still a bit too young to understand the complexity of the situation.

While immensely jealous of their innocence, I have learned a ton from them and try hard to carry that into my day to day operations both in the workplace and life. Most importantly, that NOW is more important than anything. For them, lockdown was just bonus play time with their parents...so we decided to embrace that notion as well, best exampled by a few of my recent rad-dad house projects: a skateboard ramp and a hockey rink... so as to ensure that we have the proper facilities for a multitude of activities. It's just for the kids I swear :)

This notion of quality time remaining (QTR) is something that the Tahoe Mountain Realty team and I have tried to focus on and live by. As it applies to a real estate purchase here in the mountains, it's the pursuit or continuation of lifestyle choices that should be your driving focus more than the property itself. I urge you to choose to do something that best fits your interests and facilitates an environment for you to maximize quality time with the people you love most.

After spending almost 15 years in the Truckee/Tahoe area and focusing my life on outdoor recreation, I look forward to being both your market and lifestyle expert and continuing to help you realize your dream of owning property here in the mountains.

As always, please don't hesitate to contact me for a tour or a listing consultation.
